Job Title: Sr. Engineer

Work Location – Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To oversee and perform various electrical maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment reliability and safety. This includes executing scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks, strict adherence to standards and procedures, managing inventory, supporting minor projects, and maintaining documentation. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, analyzing costs, and ensuring compliance with various Statutory rules & HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create maintenance schedules for daily, weekly and monthly basis to carry out various electrical maintenance activities in coordination with internal/external stakeholders.

• Ensure the availability of resources to handle various electrical maintenance activities.

• Oversee day-to-day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

• Carry out scheduled and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems to ensure operational efficiency.

• Review, prioritize and execute critical electrical maintenance activities while ensuring adherence to highest quality standards.

• Perform Task-based risk assessment for all critical activities and ensure all activities are executed with proper work permit and risk assessment.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

• Perform diagnostic and functional tests on electrical systems, using modern testing tools and safety procedures & maintenance of records.

• Prepare, review, and update maintenance records, service reports, and technical documentation as per standards.

• Interpret circuit diagrams for troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues promptly and efficiently.

• Ensure all electrical operations comply with internal and external safety/statutory regulations, reporting hazards and near-miss incidents.

• Knowledge on preparation of budgeting and oversee adherence to the same to ensure efficient utilization.

• Conduct training and skill development of team members as per requirements

• Ensure availability of all critical spares and cost-effectively manage spares.

• Support & Implement MOCs and CAPEXs within the timeline.

• Coordinate with vendors/ equipment manufacturers to ensure seamless contract management and release material/ service PRs & service entries.

• Periodical review of various procedures, initiating corrective actions for continual improvement of systems.

• Knowledge on O & M of Cathodic Protection systems.

Other Skills:

• Knowledge on SAP, Good Communication skills.

• Preference will be given to candidates having valid “Supervisor licence up to 33 KV installations” issued by AP Electrical Licensing board, Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification: An Associate degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience: Candidates must have 4-6 years in the field of maintenance of Electrical equipment’s namely rotating machinery/ O&M of substation/ DG maintenance/Cathodic Protection in petroleum/chemical/process industries.

Experience in Oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
