Cavern

Underground Caverns are the safest means of storing hydrocarbons and are used by developed countries to ensure national fuel security. There are over 80 mined underground caverns in the world for LPG alone. Caverns are extremely safe from war, sabotage, terrorist attacks, earthquakes, storms etc. Caverns are environmental friendly and occupy very little surface area. Besides, they act as cost-effective strategic storage. In case of this cavern, LPG will be stored 162 to 181M below ground level which makes it one of the deepest mined caverns in the world. This Project is a precursor for similar Petroleum storage in the Country for ensuring Energy security.
